Movie Time

During these unprecedented times, (sorry) it seems we are all watching more television. In a recent blog I discussed television series and which ones I could watch over and over without getting tired of anything but the theme song. Seinfeld, Frasier, and The Office are 3 of the picks that take me away from all the madness going on in the world. But how about movies? Again, thank goodness for so many streaming options! You can find just about anything! Just last night I watched Zombieland 1 AND 2. I think both are quite entertaining. Nowadays there are probably 100’000 zombie movies to choose from! I really like the “Resident Evil” franchise. Most likely because I enjoyed playing the video games so much. I haven‘t played a console video game in years! The last time I did I discovered these games have gotten WAY too complicated and high tech for me to play. I’ll stick with Pac-Man and Donkey Kong. Yes, I’m an 80’s child. I remember watching my son and his friends sitting in my living room a few years back playing that shooting game...what’s it called? Hold on, I have to google. OH! Call of Duty. They just run around trying to shoot each other! Great graphics but seems like the actual story mode of the game would be more fun. Anyway, one day I came home and my son along with 2 friends were just staring at the TV with a countdown playing on screen. I asked what’s happening and my son replied, “We got kicked out, waiting for them to let us back on.” Wow! What could cause that? Isn’t shooting everyone the point? Anyway, I forgot this blog was about movies. Oops! Concentration problem arose again. My bad. What are your fave movies or franchises? I could watch all the ROCKY movies again and again. Always been a fan. My other faves include SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, GOODFELLAS, GREEN MILE, and all the STAR WARS. On the comedy side DUMB & DUMBER, the original VACATION, THE BIG LEBOWSKI, and THE NOTEBOOK. What? I’m single. I laugh at all the stupid crap that dude does just to have his heart broken. There are so many more I could list, and after I save this I’m sure I’ll remember one I wanted to mention. However, I’m using my phone to type this and my hand is falling asleep holding it up. A later topic will be not being able to put the phone down during these _________ _____. That seems to be a problem I have when STARTING a movie. I did an experiment in which every time I noticed myself distracted and not paying attention to the movie, I’d restart the movie. I‘ve watched the first 5 minutes of countless movies. I’m not sure why I need to check FB and my email every 15 seconds. It’s really annoying. I tried putting my phone in the bathroom and leaving it there but I was afraid I’d miss an important call or text that I’ll never get. Ugh! Ok, I’m gonna go find a movie to watch...for at least 5 minutes. Stay safe and stuff! 😷👍💕
